Dr Aydin Kurt-Elli
CEO

Aydin was brought up throughout Europe before training and graduating MBChB at Edinburgh University in 1998, with an intercalated BSc in Biochemistry. Having been involved in computers since the age of 7, Aydin set up edNET during medical school, and has grown the company since it's inception in 1995. Aydin has also sat on the boards of other businesses in executive and non-exec roles, as well as a few charity and non-profit organisations.

As the founding investor, Mussy has been involved in the business from the beginning and took full a time operational role in June 2000. He brings technical and general management experience acquired through classical graduate training scheme in IT&T (Alcatel since 1987) and career growth in multi-site, multi-national R&D environments as manager of System Design in Telecom Switching & Routing Products. He has also invested in and managed other ventures ranging from Design Consultancy, Development & Manufacture of Visual Telephones for the Deaf to Property Development.

Richard graduated with a honours degree in Computer Science from Edinburgh University in 1998 when he joined edNET as operations manager. Since becoming Chief Technical Officer, he has helped take the company through the rebranding to Lumison and established it as a premium player in the datacentre market.

 

Graeme Mackenzie
Graeme MacKenzie
CFO

Graeme graduated with a joint honours degree in Business Studies and Accounting from Edinburgh University in 1987. Gained his charteredaccountancy qualification whilst working for KPMG in Edinburgh prior to spending 2 years working for KPMG Hungary in the early 90's.  Spent 10 years, latterly as Finance Director, with Reuters Research before joining  Lumison in 2004 to help transform our financial operations.

Non Executive Director

Grahame has been involved in the Internet Service Provider (ISP)industry since its earliest days in the UK. He is Chairman of the London Internet Exchange (LINX), the largest EMEA neutral peering point for ISPs, and an active investor in technology companies.

April joined Lumison in 2006 from Menzies plc, and has worked tirelessly since then to drive up standards at Lumison for good people and team management, and continues to drive excellence in Culture throughout the business.

Chris Shields
Sales Director

After graduating with a BSc Honours in Biological Sciences from Edinburgh University in 1996, Chris matched his passion for sales and biological background and went on to work within Sales and Marketing in the Pharmaceutical industry. Moving into technology in 1999 to work in Search and Selection he specialised in Networking and Telephony recruitment both in the UK and Australia, and it was while recruiting for Lumison he was introduced to the company and later joined them in 2003 to develop sales and client relationship building with existing and new customers.

Service Delivery Supervisor

Alan joined the company in 2002 as a fresh faced youth as a Technical Support Engineer when edNET first introduced 24x7 Technical Support for customers. Through a combination of talent, good looks, charm and some blind luck in 2004 Alan moved up to the NOC team.   Alan joined NOC just in time for the opening of the Newbridge Datacentre and was heavily involved in the migration of all of Lumison's services from Scolocate to the new purpose-built facility. In 2007, Alan took on the challenge of NOC Supervisor and moved to head up Managed Services and Provisioning in June 2010.

Support Supervisor

Coming from a CAD support and training background in Australia, Mo joined the best support team in the world here at Lumison in 2004. As Support Supervisor, Mohab has worked to double the size of the team, consistently improve SLAs, liaise with vendors and suppliers, and manages the Support Team to ensure Lumison customers are consistently provided with the level of service that our reputation is built on.

Datacentre Manager

Jack has an HND in Electrical Engineering from Stow College of Engineering and an MSc in Systems Engineering from the University of Westminster, allied to (frighteningly) over 25 years experience in designing, building and managing Telecoms Switching and Data Centres across the UK and Europe, having worked with organisations ranging from Plessey Major Systems, Nomura Research, Dun and Bradstreet, Hertz Europe, Sprint International, Federal Express, Xerox Corp, EDS, Glasgow University, the NHS in Scotland, ScoLocate and Scotland Online.

Datacentre Supervisor

After graduating with a BSc Honours in Mechanical Engineering in 1996 Hakan developed an interest in IT. Hakan joined  Lumison in February 2008 as a Datacentre Technician. A few months after joining, he was given the responsibility of managing the Lumison Imperial Way Data Centre Team and making sure all facilities are running smoothly and providing high level of customer service. He brings a vibrant attitude to the day to day running of Imperial Way and encourages his team to do the same.

Information Systems Supervisor

After Graduating with a BEng(Hons) in Software Engineering in 2000, Fergus joined Intelligent Applications(IA) to work on Diagnostic Systems for Gas Turbines providing Interface Design, Diagnostic Reporting, Product Installation, Support and Training throughout the UK and around the world. Looking for a new challenge after helping integrate the IP from IA into Turbine Services Limited, Fergus joined Lumison as a Software Engineer in 2006. He now runs a focused team of Application Developers delivering internal and external information systems across a variety of platforms and technologies.
